Elina Avanesyan exits WTA-1000 BNP Paribas Open

PanARMENIAN.Net - Professional tennis player Elina Avanesyan has been knocked out of the WTA-1000 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

In the second round of the women's singles tournament in Indian Wells, USA, Avanesyan faced world No. 22, Croatia’s Donna Vekić. After a match lasting about an hour and a half, the Armenian player lost 6-3, 6-3, reports Armenpress.

Since August 2024, Elina Avanesyan has been representing Armenia.

The BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells has been held since 1974 and has been classified as a Masters-level tournament since 1990.
