Armenia has six players in FIDE rankings

PanARMENIAN.Net - In the April rankings of the International Chess Federation (FIDE), Armenia has six representatives.

In the men’s list, Shant Sargsyan is ranked 69th, Hayk Martirosyan 92nd, and Aram Hakobyan 96th. The men’s rankings are led by Magnus Carlsen, «Armenpress» reports.

In the women’s rankings, Armenia is also represented by three players: Elina Danielian (45th), Mariam Mkrtchyan (69th), and Lilit Mkrtchyan (74th). The women’s list is topped by Chinese player Hou Yifan.

Former leader of Armenia’s national men’s team, Levon Aronian—now competing under the U.S. flag—is ranked 21st in the standings.
