Armenia drops to 106th spot in FIFA rankings

PanARMENIAN.Net - The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has updated its national team rankings, with Armenia dropping one position to 106th place.

On March 29, the team led by Yeghishe Melikyan played a friendly match in Yerevan against Belarus and lost 1–2. Belarus improved its position by one spot and now ranks 97th, «Factor.am » reports.

France now tops the rankings, followed by European champions Spain in second place and world champions Argentina in third.

The top ten also includes England, Portugal, Brazil, the Netherlands, Morocco, Belgium, and Germany.

Among Armenia’s Nations League opponents, Montenegro is ranked 81st, Cyprus 126th, and Latvia 137th.

Among upcoming friendly opponents scheduled to play in Yerevan in June, Kazakhstan is ranked 110th and Moldova 159th.
