PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmaster Varuzhan Akobian finished 7th at the U.S. Chess Championship. Melikset Khachiyan and Levon Altounian came 20th and 21st respectively.

Gata Kamsky won the Championship, followed by Yuri Shulman and Hikara Makamura.
