  Azeri FC coach “blunders” into inviting Armenian players to join team July 25, 2011 - 14:23 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan’s State Frontier Service deported 2 players of FC Torpedo Armavir, Russia because of their Armenian origin.A while ago, the coach of Azeri Kyapaz FC Mehman Allahverdiyev visited Russian city of Armavir to assess performance of the players, unaware of their Armenian origin. On the invitation of Allahverdiyev, two members of Torpedo team arrived in Gyanja, Azerbaijan. Their arrival, or rather their Armenian origin arose a “major stir” in the airport, according to salamnews.org. Russian passports the players had, didn’t prevent them from being deported right away.
