Trabzon hosts European Youth Olympic FestivalJuly 25, 2011 - 19:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The 11th European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) kicked off in Trabzon hosting 4000 sportsmen from 49 countries competing for gold. The program includes nine categories, including basketball, handball, volleyball, athletics, cycling, judo, tennis, swimming and gymnastics. Armenian national team of 22 sportsmen left for Trabzon, including 6 judoists, 4 athletes, 4 gymnasts, 3 cyclists, 3 swimmers and 2 tennis players. EYOF has a summer edition, which was held for the first time in Brussels in 1991, and a winter edition, which began two years later in Aosta.
