MEPs urge Turkey to lift Armenia’s blockade

PanARMENIAN.Net - In its final statement, the EU-Armenia parliamentary cooperation committee urged Turkey adopted based on the results of a sitting in Brussels to lift Armenia’s blockade prior to ratification of the Armenian-Turkish Protocols ratification.

Chairperson of the RA NA Standing Committee on European Integration Affairs Naira Zohrabyan told a press conference in Yerevan that it is important that the statement authors urge Turkey to take relevant actions for the establishment of good neighborly relations with Yerevan and open its border with Armenia as soon as possible.

The statement makes a reference to the June 18, 1987, European Parliament’s resolution on political solution of the Armenian Cause.
