Diagnostics is yet to be developed in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Director of the Institute of Pediatric Hematology, Professor Alexey Maschan who arrived in Armenia within the framework of You’re Not Alone, Together We’ll Win social program spoke about the qualification of Armenian doctors at news conference in Yerevan.

“Lectures and meetings with Armenian doctors enabled me to form a very positive opinion about their level of specialization. I can characterize them as qualified, well read and well-informed in the sphere of recent achievements in medicine.”

“However the diagnostics is yet to be developed in Armenia. Diagnostics being a very important, though expensive process greatly increases the chances of oncological patients for receiving a correct treatment,” the Professor said.

Professor Maschan offered to activate cooperation between Armenian and Russian doctors to achieve better results in diagnostics. “We could diagnose patients in Moscow, considering the small number of children with oncological diseases in Armenia,” Maschan said.
