Expert: overuse of social networks makes teenagers social invalidsMarch 5, 2011 - 16:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Psychologist Karine Nalchajyan said that excessive use of social networks makes teenagers social invalids. Communication with people via social networks allows them not only to completely reveal their personality, but also to present themselves in a different light, Nalchacjyan told a press conference in Yerevan. At the same time, the expert noted that overuse of computers becomes a reason for serious conflicts between parents and children. “Being aware of computer’s harmfulness, parents try to limit their children’s access to it,” Nalchajyan said, adding that, however, use of computer has also positive sides. Referring to the negative impact of social networks, neurologist Shushan Asatryan said for her part that currently children obtain such information via them, which is not appropriate for their age.
