Armenia fullback Ararat Arakelyan withdraws from match vs. Russia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia fullback Ararat Arakelyan has withdrawn from the UEFA EURO 2012 qualifier vs. Russia due to a heelstring injury he suffered during a training.

“I could play the match but coach Vardan Minasyan decided not to put my health at risk to avoid complications,” Arakelyan said in a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. “He said I must accumulate strengths for the other matches.”

Armenia vs. Russia qualifier is scheduled for March 26 in Yerevan’s Vazgen Sargsyan’s stadium.
