Smbat Margaryan to compete on first day of European Weightlifting Championships

PanARMENIAN.Net - The European Weightlifting Championships will kick off in Kazan on April 11.

European championship silver winner and Youth Olympic Games bronze winner, Smbat Margaryan (56kg) will enter competition on the first day along with 11 sportsmen.

Chief Coach of the Armenian men’s team Poghos Poghosyan submitted applications for the following weightlifters’ participation: Samvel Grigoryan and Vanik Avetisyan (69kg), Araik Mirzoyan and Aghasi Aghasyan (77kg), Edgar Gevorgyan (85kg), Gevorg Poghosyan and Vardan Davtyan (94kg), Arthur Babayan (105kg) and Hayk Hakobyan (+105kg).

The Armenian women’s team will include Elen Grigoryan (53kg), Meline Daluzyan (69kg) and Hripsime Khurshudyan (+75kg).
