Armenia to participate in MMA world championship final stage

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia will participate in MMA (mixed martial arts) world championship final stage to he held in Simferopol, Ukraine, on May 6.

“From now on, Armenian sportsmen living in different countries can join the national team,” RA Armfighting Federation president Hauk Ghukasyan told journalists on April 28. “The Armenian team already includes PROFC world champ Gor Harutyunyan (under 70kg), David Khachatryan (73kg) and Hracho Darbinyan (93kg), who lived in the Netherlands.”

David Khachatryan will take on Russia’s Magomed Saadulayev. The winner of the bout will fight for the world champion’s title in August.
