Armenian sambists win gold, silver at European Championships

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian sambist Grigor Mkhitaryan became a European Champion at a Kazan-hosted tournament.

Reaching the final at the 2016 European Sambo Championships, Mkhitaryan defeated Russia’s Artush Arsyan to win a gold medal.

Another Armenian sportsman, Vachik Vardanyan lost the battle against another Russian representative to win a silver medal.

Earlier, Armenia’s Tigran Kirakosyan won a silver, while Mkhitar Mkhitaryan and Edik Petrosyan secured a bronze medal each.
