Mane and Narek announced most popular baby names in 2010

PanARMENIAN.Net - Mane and Narek were announced the most popular baby names in 2010, according to the head of Census and Demography Department at RA National Statistical Service.

As Ms. Karine Kuyumjyan told a news conference in Yerevan, “in 2010, 923 baby girls were named Mane, with names like Milena, Ani, Anahit, Elen, Nare among the most popular.”

1139 new-born boys were named Narek, with David, Gor, Eric and Arman as the most popular.

In all, 23 800 boys and 20 900 girls were born in Armenia in 2010.
