122 pregnant women hospitalized with Covid-19 in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan has revealed that 3050 beds in 27 medical centers across Armenia are taken by patients with coronavirus.

Avanesyan told a Cabinet meeting on Thursday, October 28 that 122 pregnant women, including 53 diagnosed with double pneumonia, are among those receiving inpatient treatments in medical facilities in the country.

"1088 patients are in serious condition, 307 in critical, while 152 patients are placed on ventilators," Avanesyan said, stressing the importance of vaccinations.

The Health Minister reminded that policlinics work on weekends as well to inoculate the population non-stop.

Also Thursday, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Armenia could make wearing masks in open areas mandatory again.

The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Armenia grew by 2307 to reach 302,450 on October 28. So far, 264,678 people have recovered, 6189 have died from the coronavirus in the country, while 1280 others carrying the virus have died from other causes.
