Armenia to cooperate on migration issues with Sweden, Lichtenstein from 2011

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan held a meeting in the State Migration Service at the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration.

Works implemented by the institution in 2010 and programs for 2011 were in the focus of the meeting.

Three international agreements related to the migration field were signed in 2010. Readmission agreements were signed with Russia and the Czech Republic. Currently, Armenia has similar agreements with 13 states. Negotiations are held with France and Qatar on establishment of enlarged cooperation in the migration field. Bilateral cooperation with Sweden and Lichtenstein will be established in 2011.

Besides, works are carried out to secure legislative and institutional compliance of the system of migration management to the EU system.

In 2011, an action plan will be developed in Armenia, securing implementation of the RA Concept of Policy for State Regulation of Migration.
