Monument to Kuban Cossacks perished in Artsakh war to be unveiled in Gandzasar

PanARMENIAN.Net - On May 28, a monument to 14 Kuban Cossacks who perished during Artsakh liberation will be unveiled in Gandzasar.

As the head chieftain of Armenian-Russian Cossack Association Mais Mirzoyan told a news conference in Yerevan, the unveiling of the monument will be timed to the first Armenian Republic anniversary as well as victories of the Armenian nation in Sardarapat and Bash Aparan battles.

In 1992, 85 Kuban Cossacks volunteered to participate in Artsakh liberation war to defend Christian faith. 14 of them, including a 18-year-old son of the chieftain, perished for the liberation of Artsakh.
