Among Armenian referees, only Knarik Grigoryan had made progress in 2009: she climbed one class up in UEFA referee classification table and is now appointed Class 2 UEFA referee.UEFA classification includes 5 classes for male referees: elite, premier, 2, 3 и 4 and 4 classes for female referees: elite, premier, 2, 3. Class promotions are based on results displayed, i.e. quality of refereeing, physical fitness, precious experience, foreign language skills, participation in UEFA seminars, local championship rating and many others.
